History
Alaska's Northwood Lodge is the dream of Eric and Shan Johnson. Theirs is a story of wilderness Alaska and the pioneering spirit that pushed them to build their dream-come-true.

• Building
  We built the Northwoods Lodge between 1984 and 1987. As a builder, Eric Johnson never stopped. Additions to the main lodge include the sauna, cabins, docks and more.
• Early Days
  Accessible only by air or water, constructing the Northwoods Lodge near Skwentna Alaska was a challenging process.
• A Bush Family
  Our wilderness lodge near Skwentna Alaska is part of a remote community. Where else could you go swimming, fishing, sledding and snowmachining right in your front yard?
